We Don’t Rely on Satnav

At Bayside Limousines, we like to keep at the forefront of technology.

Of course, we are all about luxury limousine hire and the provision of luxury coaches so we don’t pretend to be experts in Information Technology! Even so, all our vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and communications. Anything else would be unthinkable given our service proposition....Read More

Luxury Limo Hire Melbourne

Melbourne is one of the world’s great cities and nobody can help you to better discover it than we at Bayside Limousines.

We are the premier Melbourne limo service provider, offering a selection of the most prestigious vehicles on the road which form part of our extensive fleet.

Our vehicles are ideal for executive requirements, such as business meeting transport, airport collections and VIP entertaining. We also offer luxurious and gracious limousines that are ideal for those important personal events such as weddings, funerals, anniversaries and special days out.
Of course, Melbourne and the surrounding areas of Victoria are also famous the world over for their beauty and sophistication. If you would like to explore that in larger groups, we can also offer some of the best-equipped people-mover and larger coaches around. These vehicles are also excellent for things such as corporate conferences and other events that involve transporting larger numbers.

We can also arrange hyper-luxury or sometimes slightly ‘eccentric’ stretch limousines if you require to make a particular impression of opulence....Read More

Top Risks to Avoid When Changing a Wheel on Your Car

If you are unlucky enough to get a puncture while out and about, it's relatively easy to quickly change to your spare wheel.
True, it does involve a bit of physical strength and the chances are that you're going to get grubby as you go along. Even so, comparatively few people would need to call the garage out in such an eventuality...Read More

Don’t Forget – We can Organise your Day!

We’d like to take this opportunity to politely remind you that we are NOT ‘just’ a luxury limo hire company.
We pride ourselves on our value-added services and it’s worth mentioning again that you can pass over your entire day’s requirements to us, including a whole host of activities, in addition to the limousine hire leaving us to get on with them. That can save you an awful lot of time and worry...Read More

We’re Not Big on Excuses

One of the things we can guarantee that you won’t find in Bayside Limousines’ offices is an official pre-prepared ‘book of excuses’!

We’ve said before that in about 99% of cases where a car hire company or rent a limo provider has failed to do what they promised, it is entirely because of human error or professional incompetence.

It’s true that we occasionally encounter the odd operational problem arising from circumstances that we could not have predicted but we ‘fix it quick’ and make sure that there is no visible effect on the commitment we have made to our customers...Read More

Are Lower Fuel Prices Here to Stay?

Comparatively few, if any, motorists will be lamenting the global fall in oil and associated fuel costs over the last year or so.
It has been extremely good news for ordinary drivers but also professional organisations such as bus companies, haulage firms, limousine hire companies and taxi drivers.
The big question for everyone is, are these lower prices here to stay?....Read More

How Bayside Limousines Chooses Its Fleet

You might be surprised to know that we fairly regularly get asked how we select the vehicles for our prestigious fleet.
That question normally revolves around things such as “Why did you choose the (e.g.) Jaguar XJ Premium and not the XYZ?”
As you might imagine, there are a lot of factors behind our decision to add a new vehicle for our fleet.
The first is one we take very seriously and that relates to the overall quality of our existing pool. We have the pre-eminent Melbourne limo hire fleet and all of our vehicles are thoroughbreds. We’re not going to risk putting that reputation at risk by purchasing a vehicle that doesn’t meet our exacting standards, simply in order to try and save a few dollars...Read More

Our Hyundai I-Max Vehicles

hyundai imax
We always enjoy talking about the vehicles of our fleet and the history of the marques involved.
Now there’s one point we won’t be making a stand on – how to pronounce “Hyundai”!

We know some say “Hi-Un-Dai”, some “Hun-Dai” and yet others “Hi-Oon-Dai”. Whatever the manufacture thinks, they’re all OK by us!

Some people think that Hyundai are Japanese but in fact they’re South Korean and are part of the same group as Kia. Their origins go back to the late 1960s when what was an engineering and construction group decided to diversify into car manufacturing.....Read More

A Business Pre-Departure Checklist

You might be surprised to know how often our chauffeurs are asked to ‘turn back’ in a hurry because a client has forgotten something.
Usually this is no big deal but it can be more of a headache if the delays involved put at risk things like flight departures or business-critical meeting deadlines.
So, here is a very informal pre-departure checklist reminder aimed at business clients....Read More

Top 10 Ways to Burn Less Fuel When Driving

Are you tired of seemingly giving all of your money to the oil companies?
If so, you don't have to do anything radical, like changing your car for a smaller model, in order to reduce your fuel costs.
Here are some top and entirely free (or very low cost) ideas that might achieve the same thing.
  1. Go easy on your accelerator. Massive (and usually pointless) "G-force" type accelerations away from traffic lights or stop signs, achieves nothing other than wear to your tyres and the consumption of far more fuel than is necessary. Follow the example of professional chauffeurs driving luxury limousines, who usually have their eye on reducing wear and tear to their vehicles and fuel consumption - you won't see them trying to emulate Formula One racing cars as they pull away!.....Read More

10 Signs That Your Brakes Might Kill You

It's a sad fact of life that many car drivers are guilty of ignoring symptoms in their vehicle which indicate a potential fundamental problem with the brakes.

All our Customers are Identical

Of course, they’re no such thing but we thought this title might catch the eye!
There’s a serious point behind this though and it relates to Bayside Limousine’s customer service ethos.
On TV recently, somebody commented to the effect that their corporate clients were “more important” than their private clients in car hire terms. Now to be fair, the context wasn’t luxury limousine hire but rather general car hire. It might also have been technically ‘correct’ in an income sense, as clearly regular customers generate more revenue that one-off customers do...Read More

Why Business Travel Isn't Just a "Perk"

For those people who have never travelled on business for a large company, at face value, this looks like something of a gravy train.
When you are standing in lengthy queues for airport taxis at the end of your holiday, it can sometimes be easy to drift into a little resentment when you see those luxury limousines cruising up for business people to step seemingly effortlessly into as soon as they walk out of the terminal doors.
If you are also sitting in an aircraft in what is sometimes uncharitably called "Cattle Class" and catch a glimpse through the curtains of those in Business Class, then once again your resentment can rise to the surface...Read More

Children, Luxury Limousine Hire and Child Seats

• We are happy to carry younger people providing they are accompanied by an appropriate adult.
• It is essential that we comply with the law as it applies to the conditions for the carriage of younger children. Essentially that means children within certain age ranges must be seated in an approved and secure child-seat that is appropriate for their age...Read More

Wedding Limo Hire in Sydney

The Beginning of A Business That Has Been Operating For 20 Years!

A brief history of our company:
It all began in 1982, when a 21-year old Oris Squadrito began his training in the art of being a chauffeur. This included a stress on old-school customer satisfaction and service from the masters of the “Old Guard” of chauffeuring that made an indelible imprint on him. Never forgetting these lessons, over the next three decades Oris always strove to master and improve the customer service he offered to his passengers while bringing his own personality to the business...read more about our Company

Why Pets Need to be Discussed in Advance

Although we have previously spoken on the subject in a blog, it’s fair to say this is one of the commoner questions we encounter from new clients.

The Law and Chauffeur-Driven Limousines

Occasionally on TV and in the films you will see a taxi driver or chauffeur on the receiving end of client instructions such as:
  • “Floor it”
  • “loose the car behind”
  • “put your toe down”
The instruction usually results in a compliant chauffeur initiating a manic car drive through city centre streets with all too often a series of catastrophic crashes.

Luxury Limo Airport Transfers and Translation

Luxury Limo Airport TransfersA fairly significant part of our total business portfolio arises from airport transfers. Some of those are private individuals or groups but in many cases they relate to corporate travellers.

In some instances, that also involves visitors from other countries who do not have an in-depth and fluent understanding of the English language. Are you Taking your VIPs Seriously with Sydney Airport Limos?

A recent story involved a VIP business visitor from overseas who was found wandering aimlessly around with his luggage, hopelessly lost, in an out-of-town business park.

The extent of his displacement was indicated by the fact he was actually looking for a CBD address.

Making the Best of your Limousine Hire Budget

Sometimes we get called by a potential client who has a specified budget available and wants to know what they can achieve with it by way of luxury limousine hire.

Let’s state right up front that at Bayside Limousines we are a very friendly bunch and we are always more than happy to receive calls from potential customers. So, don’t feel inhibited but instead feel free to pick up the phone and we’ll see what we can do for you.

Of course, there have to be some limits beyond which we may not be able to go. Even so, there are a few things that we might be able to suggest if your budget is very limited:

• Try to be flexible on the date and time of your rental. That might enable us to fill up a gap in our schedule because we won’t hide the fact that we don’t like our vehicles to be under-utilized (though that’s actually very rarely the case).

• Avoid becoming completely hung-up on a given vehicle. The more flexibility we have in terms of what vehicle we use, the more we may be able to help you.

• Examine carefully just how long you think you’ll want the limo for. We can offer hourly rates and it may be that you’ll be able to use it for your purposes in say 1 hour rather than assuming you have to hire it for an entire morning.

However, let’s not speculate anymore about scenarios and options. Instead, why don’t you just pick up the phone for a chat? You might be amazed at how flexible we can be and how we may be able to hammer something out between ourselves.

In other words, don’t just look at the amount of money you have to spend and automatically assume that is not going to be able to help you find limo Services Sydney or elsewhere.

Touring with a Bayside Limousines’ Mercedes Benz Sprinter

If you are looking to move several people from one location to another, you don’t need to think about the expense of hiring multiple limousines or a huge coach.

That’s because we offer a range of smaller vehicles including those such as the Mercedes Benz Sprinter.

Let’s consider a typical example of corporate entertaining. You might have a number of guests visiting and you’ve decided to take in a cricket match or a tour of some of Sydney’s most famous sights.

If so, that’s absolutely no problem with this fantastically luxurious but also highly versatile vehicle.

http://www.baysidelimousines.com.au/sydney/

It seats up to 14 people in great comfort and exactly as you’d expect from Mercedes Benz, it’s a brilliantly engineered people mover that doesn’t compromise on anything just in order to ‘fit in a few extra seats’.

In fact, if you wish, we can even arrange an itinerary around the local area of your choice. That’s because all of our drivers will be extremely experienced in their surroundings and can make sure that you and your guests get to see all of the top sights on your tour.

These vehicles can also be extremely useful if you are picking up a number of people from the Airport. Sometimes if a group is arriving, it’s just not going to be convenient or even possible to try and get everybody into a conventional limousine, in which case a vehicle like this can be absolutely ideal.

The Sprinter isn’t the only such vehicle in our fleet. We can also offer the Mercedes-Benz Viano and Toyota Commuter, both of which are perfectly capable of moving numbers of people without needing to go to the expense of hiring a full-size coach.

So, why not give us a call to discuss our limo services in Sydney and elsewhere, we are waiting to help!

Are Hired Limousines Really more Expensive than Taxis?

It’s not too unusual for us to hear comments along the lines that taxis are far cheaper than rented limousines.

Yet it is that always the case?

http://www.baysidelimousines.com.au/sydney/Intuitively, one might be inclined to say “yes, that must be true“. The reality though might be rather more complicated.
Let’s take, as a classic example, the question relating to just how much value you put on your time. If you have just arrived on a flight and have to spend 45 minutes queuing for a taxi, how much is that costing you?

Let’s assume in another scenario that you need to take several taxis between various points around town, as you have a frantic afternoon rushing from one meeting and presentation to another. How would that compare to simply hiring luxury limousines in Sydney for say 2 hours?

Then there is the even harder to quantify area relating to the impression you are making.

If you are meeting someone at the airport who might be very important to the future success of your organization, are you creating the right impression by asking them to join you in that lengthy queue with everybody else to wait for a taxi? How much are the negative impression aspects of the situation costing you and how much will they cost you in terms of potential future business for your company?

Then there are the potential emotional costs.

Yes, the Groom and Best Man deciding to get to the church by taxi may seem a very cost-effective decision but what about the traumas when the taxi is late or simply doesn’t turn up due to a “misunderstanding”? That sort of thing has happened before and it will happen again in future.

So, look carefully at the figures and the intangibles before deciding that a taxi is always going to be cheaper than a luxury limousine.

Choosing the Best Route when Cruising in a Hired Limousine

Our chauffeur will use his or her extensive experience in order to plan the most suitable route to wherever your final destination happens to be.

If you are looking for a scenic experience, then clearly time and efficiency may not be the most compelling priority and your chauffeur will be able to plan a route that makes certain that you and perhaps your guests get to see all the key sights.

In other situations, a quiet circuitous ‘ramble’ of a drive might be the very last thing you have on your mind!  If you are on a tight business schedule or looking to connect with an outbound flight, you’ll want the fastest point-to-point route possible.

http://www.baysidelimousines.com.au/contact-us/

Generally, we recommend that you leave your detailed route planning to your chauffeur.  They’ll know all the bottlenecks to avoid (when you are renting luxury limousines in Sydney you won’t want to spend your time sitting in traffic jams!) and how to choose a route that will be the most likely to help you meet your requirements.

Of course, if you do wish to go via a specific route for whatever purpose, then your chauffeur will be only too pleased to oblige providing that it will be possible to do so without putting at risk either the vehicle or the particular parameters of your luxury limousine rental agreement.

In some cases, it can also be a good idea to simply turn the itinerary for the day over to your chauffeur and allow them to plan a route and final destination around a theme. In that type of scenario, you might simply say you want to see some of the best coastal spots around and you can then leave the rest to your chauffeur.
The message is, lean on us!  We’re here to make your rental experience as pleasant and successful as possible.

Chauffeurs, Wit and Limo Cars in Sydney

Many of us have experienced it.

You may know the feeling yourself. You are in a taxi or sometimes a limousine and the chauffeur seemingly regards themselves as a natural wit and raconteur. Cue an apparently never-ending stream of anecdotes, banter, jokes and non-stop conversation.

It may be that you welcome that. Perhaps you are feeling in the mood for a little light diversion and are a natural and enthusiastic communicator who likes human engagement.

However, even if you are, there may be times when you simply don’t appreciate it. Perhaps you are trying to do some reading as you travel or some work on your tablet etc. In other words, you may simply not have the time to focus on someone else’s conversation.

Alternatively, perhaps you are someone who doesn’t easily engage in chit-chat with others or you have simply been working too hard and are feeling a bit jaded.

In either of the above situations, what you may simply want is privacy with peace and quiet - not a series of hilarious guffaws.

So, what is Bayside Limousines’ policy in terms of our chauffeurs driving limo cars in Sydney

You can be absolutely sure that all of our chauffeurs will be extremely polite, courteous and respectful. What you will never experience with us is surliness or a lack of interest. Nor will you ever see members of our team ‘horsing around’ or treating your requirements as being anything other than serious. In other words, our chauffeurs are all top-class professionals.

If you have requested tour-based services from us, then your driver or chauffeur will obviously be only too pleased to use their extensive knowledge of Sydney and its environs to help you appreciate some of the landmarks you might be passing.

However, if you are arranging a point-to-point transport, our chauffeurs will always be friendly but have total respect to your privacy. They will never try and force conversation on you.

Of course, if you do wish to pass the time with some conversation, they’ll be only too happy to oblige. In other words, we follow our customers lead!

A Sydney Limousine Service and Punctuality

We conduct our business affairs to the highest professional standards but there are some things that not even we can control.

One of the great truths about any Sydney limousine service is that problems can arise en-route that might mean delays in transit to your final destination.

Perhaps the most obvious example is an unpredictable traffic jam following on from something such as a traffic accident.  At Bayside Limousines we monitor traffic conditions in and around the city on an hourly basis and we plan our routes to avoid things such as known road works etc.

However, some things cannot be predicted in advance and therefore cannot be bypassed.  As you might expect, our drivers are experts in the city and its roads – they’ll always try to get around any hold-ups but in some situations it might just not be possible.

So, what can be done?
Ultimately, nobody can guarantee that any journey will be free of such unpredictable problems but what can be done is to make sure that there is some slack built into journey times for the unexpected.  Your chauffeur or our office may recommend collection times that occasionally might seem a little too early but they are based upon many years’ experience of road traffic conditions in Sydney at certain times of the day.

What that means is that if, for example, you are heading to the Airport, it might make sense to build in a little extra leeway at peak times - just in case unexpected problems are encountered on the road.

If you’re wondering, we build in such an allowance when we are en-route to the agreed collection point and collection time to pick you up.  That’s why we are able to guarantee that we will never be late.

So, rather than planning your itinerary on a knife-edge of tight timings, if possible, include a little slack to try and cope with things you couldn’t possibly have anticipated.

How much is required?
Why not simply tell us where you need to be and the time you need to be there and then take our advice?  We’ll build an appropriate contingency into the plans we give you.
